Heartfelt Condolences

Anchali - A tribute to people's President Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam was organized by III BBA in association with MMA. During the event Tony Sunny of III BBA performed a live sand art of Dr. APJ Abdul Kalam.

Radio Marian - Inaugration

A special bloom that's been going to spread it's veins to the heights of Marian College Kuttikkanam (Autonomous) through the water molecules from the Department of Communication and Media Studies was inaugurated on 23 July 2019.

Green Panorama

A three-day environmental film festival ‘Green Panorama’ was organized by Chaithanya Film Society in collaboration with Periyar Tiger Reserve, Periyar Foundation and Kerala Chalachithra Academy at Bamboo Groove on 26, 27 and 28 of July 2019. The students and the faculty members of the Department of Communication and Media Studies of Marian College Kuttikkanam (Autonomous) had participated in the film festival. The main aim was to raise awareness regarding the protection and conservation of bio-diversities and natural resources.

NAAC Sponsored two days National Seminar on Importance of ICT Integration in revised NAAC accreditation framework on 22 and 23 August 2019 organized by the Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) Marian College Kuttikkanam (Autonomous)

Interactive Session with Abhilash Mohan

Abilash Mohanan Managing Editor of Reporter Channel visited Studio Marian and had an interactive session with the students of the Department of Communication and Media Studies on 15 July 2019. Vimal V Nair second-year student of Communication and Media Studies interviewed Abilash Mohanan on various aspects of Broadcast Journalism.

Embedded Journalism

The students of the Department of Communication and Media Studies had an interactive session with Commander Ashwin Anupdev (Indian Navy) on the topic ‘Embedded Journalism’ on 18 July 2019.

Game of Series

‘Game of Series’ quiz competition organised by the Medios Talkies film club of the Department of Communication and Media Studies of Marian College Kuttikkanam (Autonomous) was held on 24th July 2019. 31 teams from various Departments participated in the quiz competition and the winners were awarded cash prizes Rs 1000, Rs 500, Rs 100 respectively.

രണ്ട് അക്ഷരങ്ങളിൽ ചുരുക്കാനാവാത്ത, ഒരു നിഘണ്ടുവിലും എഴുതിവെക്കാനാവാത്തത്ര വലിയ സ്നേഹം, അതല്ലേ അമ്മ. നമ്മുടെ കോളേജിലെ രോഹൻ ഒരു കവിത പോലെ അമ്മയെ വർണ്ണിക്കുന്നത് കേട്ടാൽ ആരാണ് ഒരു നിമിഷം ആ സ്നേഹത്തെ ഓർത്ത് ഈറനണിയാത്തത്.
മെല്ലെ...... കണ്ണുകളടച്ച്, അമ്മയെ ഓർത്ത്, ആ മടിയിൽ കിടന്ന് രോഹനെ കേൾക്കാം...

National Workshop on Paradigm shift in Academic Research

A national workshop on the topic "Paradigm Shift in Academic Research" was conducted on 26 July 2019 under the auspices of the Department of Management in Hospitality and Tourism which was attended by students and faculties with sessions by prominent resource persons. The erudite scholar Prof. Dr J Rajan, Member, Kerala State Higher Education Council was the chief resource person.


A group of talented young blood from our college is officially launching their new youtube channel "Vinekuttans" today 07.00pm. Congratulations on their efforts. Let's tune in for some real vinekuttans from them. Best wishes guys !!

Chandigarh to Leh in cycle - Back to Fitness.

Marian alumni Thejus Pius (BCA 2013 - 16) featured in Thejus and his friend rushed 1600 kilometres in a cycle with the message of abandoning fast-food culture.


Our college is getting together with ALS Satellite Education Pvt. Ltd. for providing training for Civil Services through its satellite education program. The 'Foundation Course for Civil Services Aspirants' will be on Saturday and Sunday from 1.30 PM to 5.30 PM, a total of 250 hours inclusive of teaching hours and all-India-level practice exams. The total fee is Rs 25,000/- which is a subsidized amount for our college students. Our Principal has promised that fees will not be a constraint for deserving students. An inaugural function along with an orientation session is planned for 17 July 2019 at 2.00 PM.

The students of II BACE (Asgardians) commemorated the memory of Sri Bal Gangadhar Tilak on his birth anniversary on 23 July. His biography was presented in class and posters were put up in the classroom, the department notice board, in front of the academic block and in front of the examinations office.


The inauguration of the SSR activity of III BACE took place on 18 July 2019 at the St. Johns Shelter Home, Kattappana. The Inauguration was done by Ms. Lekshmi Menon of Chekkutti Dolls fame. Shelter Home rector Sr. Delisia, Dr. Shintu Dennis were also present.
The students behind this novel idea to serve the society are Mr. Gokul TS, Ms. Vandana S Vinod, Mr. Leo Thomas, Ms. Athullya Lekshmi and Mr. Prabhul Suresh of III BACE.

PUBG Tournament by II BCA

II BCA students conducted a PUBG Tournament on 15 July 2019 as part of their class activity. 
Hary and team from III BCA won the prize.


Winners of the Reading Day Competition organized by the students of III BACE on 25 June 2017. Competitions were organized for both English and Malayalam reading. Vishnupriya, I BACE won the first prize and Jasmin Maria Roy, I BSc Mathematics secured second prize in English reading competition and Sneha Thomas, III BSW, and Aparna S. Nair, III BACE won the first and second prize in Malayalam reading competition. Participants were judged on their fluency, pronunciation, style, and confidence. Congratulations to the winners !!
